This cold afternoon before Christmas was our second WRA event in Aberkenfig, which we believe will be a "revival hub" in Wales. We had previously distributed posters to shops in the village and were surprised at how receptive the shop-keepers were. In the afternoon we sang carols, gave out mince pies, hot chocolate and selection boxes and preached the Gospel. Our team prayed with 24 individuals on the street.
Photos above: A Christmas preach by Paul, accompanied by flasks of hot
chocolate!! Talking to passers-by and carol singing in front of the
village war memorial.
In the evening, several people we had met in the afternoon (plus one dog!) came to the "Hope and Healing" meeting in St John's church. One couple we met in the afternoon gave their lives to Jesus in the meeting, plus a couple of other people. There was a strong sense of the Holy Spirit's presence from the start.
Four or five people had had pictures of a fog/cloud/blanket over Aberkenfig, one with a "hole" representing an open heaven over the church we meet in. We believe that repeated events in the village will have an impact on its spiritual atmosphere and disperse the cloud!
Pictures below: worship and ministry in St Johns church in the evening. Four people surrendered to Jesus in the meeting and there were a number of healings and deliverances. Praise the Lord!
